Job Description

Our coffee shop is looking for a Barista - Cashier with a positive attitude and a great sense of humor, who can provide excellent customer service for our patrons. You will be in charge of all activities during your shifts behind the counter, including customer service, drink making, and cash handling. You are a self-starter who works well independently and unsupervised. You will mix a variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks and some food items, and keep the shop area clean and sanitary at all times. This position requires an energetic person with excellent organizational skills and a customer-first attitude. • PART-TIME POSITION

• Two 8-hour shifts/week
• Compensation includes all tips made during two shifts

Responsibilities:

• Opening the coffee shop so it is ready for customers at opening time.
• Closing/cleaning the coffee shop at the end of the shift.
• Provide general feedback to the owner on customer feedback/wants.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers.
• Previous barista experience is a strong asset.

About Company: The Make Good Coffee Co. opened as a wholesale coffee roastery in 2015 and has been supplying fresh-roasted coffee to coffee shops, restaurants, grocers, and taprooms throughout San Diego since. In 2020, MGC opened a retail coffee shop next to the roastery where customers on Hancock St. can get fresh-roasted coffee by the bag and delicious, creative drinks by the cup. There are also non-coffee drinks and pre-packaged food items. The shop has become a staple for people who live and work nearby.
