Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python, SQL, and ETL development to join our team in New York. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment and is passionate about solving complex business problems through data. You'll be working closely with data scientists and BI teams to develop robust data pipelines, models, and analytics infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Python.
• Collaborate with data science and BI teams to support analytical and machine learning initiatives.
• Aggregate, clean, and transform data from various sources into usable datasets.
• Model front-end and back-end data flows for deeper analytics and insight generation.
• Develop predictive models and algorithms that enhance business decision-making.
• Apply agile development practices to iteratively improve data systems and processes.
• Promote and implement best practices in data engineering and coding standards.

Core Objectives:

• Build and manage infrastructure that supports analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases.
• Enhance customer lifecycle and retention modeling capabilities.
• Drive operational improvements through automation and data-driven insights.
• Advocate for data quality, integrity, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7 9 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python , including OOP and building ETL pipelines from scratch.
• Strong command of SQL across multiple dialects (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling , schema design, and entity relationship concepts.
• Ability to independently manage deliverables and write efficient, reusable code.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in translating complex technical ideas to business stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented, agile development environment.
