Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining accurate data in company databases and systems. You must be fast and accurate with typing and have strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter data from source documents into prescribed computer systems, databases, and spreadsheets.

  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities, and check output.

  • Maintain data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.

  • Retrieve data as requested and verify the accuracy of data before use.

  • Update and maintain information on company databases and computer systems.

  • Generate reports and perform basic data analysis if required.

  • Follow data entry procedures and guidelines.

  • Communicate with other departments to collect or clarify information.

  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and report any malfunctions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus.

  • Proven experience as a data entry operator or office clerk.

  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum [e.g., 40–60 WPM]).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and data entry software.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors.

  • Good command of English (oral and written).

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems.

  • Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.

  • Familiarity with office equipment such as printers and scanners.
