Position Summary:
Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and life safety and electrical control systems to ensure adequate, safe, and operable institutional facilities.
This position will function as a member of Facilities Management providing customer service and relations to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls community. Employees are expected to be flexible in the performance of their job functions and to communicate openly with supervisors, co-workers, other departments, students and University employees.This position involves exercising individual initiative, judgement and creativity; applying cumulative, specialized and practical knowledge under minimal direction and supervision. The position frequently develops recommendations and estimates for installation of wiring and equipment to support campus electrical system projects.

Applicants are required to apply online. UWRF will not consider paper, emailed or faxed applications. Applicants must currently hold a license with the State of Wisconsin as a Journeyman or Master Electrician.
Applicants are required to provide a resume and a cover letter addressing:
1) The projects you have worked on including dates and your role in the project.
2) Any experience as a maintenance electrician, service electrician, foreman or project leader.
3) Your Wisconsin Journeyman or Master Electrician license number.
A criminal background check will be completed on final candidates. The selected candidate must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment screen and hold a valid driver's license to obtain Wisconsin certification to drive University vehicles. A six-month probationary period is required.
