Nesco Resource is seeking a Fiber Cabling Tech in the Memphis TN area for a quick natured project onsite.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Fiber Cable Installation Technician to assist with the deployment of fiber optic cabling infrastructure across multi-unit residential and commercial buildings (up to 156 units). The ideal candidate will have experience in fiber handling, staging, labeling, and cable routing. You will work directly under the supervision of a Lead Technician to support efficient and accurate on-site installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the staging, pulling, and stringing of fiber optic cable through conduits, risers, and ceiling spaces.

• Mark, label, and document fiber cable ends accurately for identification and future reference.

• Handle and manage fiber spools, including unwinding and preparing fiber for deployment.

• Support the process of hanging and securing fiber cable in designated pathways or enclosures.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while ensuring cable runs meet required specifications and codes.

• Coordinate with the Lead Technician to ensure daily tasks are completed according to the project timeline.

• Operate basic tools and equipment related to fiber installation.

• Follow safety guidelines and adhere to company installation standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience with fiber optic cable installation , handling, or staging.

• Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in tight spaces.

• Strong attention to detail for accurate labeling and routing.

• Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced, physical environment.

• Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.

• Basic understanding of fiber types, connectors, and cable management is a plus.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to or experience with MDU (multi-dwelling unit) fiber deployments .

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with basic network and telecom infrastructure is a bonus.
