**Posting Title:** Intern - IT **Reports To:** IT Asset Manager **Location:** San Jose, California **Salary Range:** $25.00/hour to $28.00/hour Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. We do this while minimizing operational and financial impact. **ABOUT THE ROLE** As a Cupertino Electric Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to projects within the assigned department. You'll work closely with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience. This internship provides an excellent learning environment for those interested in pursuing a career in the business operation side of the construction industry. **Asset Procurement & Deployment Support:** + Assist with receiving, inspecting, and tagging IT hardware/software under supervision. + Shadow team members in setting up laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for employees. + Help document inventory updates in the tracking system. **Lifecycle Management Assistance:** + Support refresh initiatives by preparing devices for redeployment. + Observe hardware diagnostics and repair coordination (no prior experience required). + Assist with secure disposal of old equipment (training provided). **Inventory & Auditing Support:** + Help maintain inventory records and track assignments/transfers. + Participate in basic audits to identify discrepancies (training provided). + Assist in retrieving equipment from employees, focusing on data security best practices. **Process Improvement Exposure:** + Learn and follow documented asset management processes. + Contribute ideas for efficiency improvements in workflows. **ABOUT YOU** **Technical Exposure (Will Train)** + Interest in IT hardware (laptops, mobile devices) and software (Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365). + No prior inventory system experience required; training provided. + Willingness to learn basics of device management tools (e.g., Intune, Active Directory). **Core Internship Skills** + **Attention to Detail:** Ability to follow instructions carefully. + **Organization:** Willingness to prioritize tasks with guidance. + **Problem-Solving:** Eagerness to learn troubleshooting steps. + **Communication:** Comfort asking questions and explaining basic concepts. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** _Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying._ **Education:** High School Diploma or GED required. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** + Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. (with assistance available for heavier items). + Comfort with light physical tasks (e.g., moving equipment, standing/bending). *Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
