Job Title - Law Clerk
Location - Manhattan, New York
Job Description:
Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing tenancy-related cases, including defaults, stipulations, and hearing decisions. Supports grievance processing, hearing scheduling, and provides administrative backup for various legal and procedural tasks. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare 105 125 cases weekly for the Tenancy Calendar; proofread and verify accuracy of all documents.
Maintain and cross-check Tenant E-copy for proper scanning and document inclusion.
Process new grievances: assign case numbers, prepare folders, update databases, and schedule TSCs via MS Teams.
Host and log outcomes of TSC and RTC conferences.
Backup support for reopening defaults, litigation holds, transcript/audio requests, and continued hearings.
Assist with reception duties, including answering calls and guiding residents on procedures.
Review and process final determinations and prepare files for archiving.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of administrative/secretarial experience, with public/resident interaction.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and accurate typing/data entry.
