Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Set-up & Operating Machine Tech for a manufacturing company located in San Clemente. This is a full-time, Eval to Hire position paying $22-$25/hr. DOE.
Job Summary:
-Set-up and operate equipment in Membrane Department, this includes:
-Flat sheet extruder and ancillary equipment
-Slitter/Sheeter
-Expansion/Regeneration Tanks and
-Test Cell
-Membrane inspection and testing
-Cut and package/palletized membrane for shipping.
-Prepare membrane for EDI assembly.
-Assist with membrane inventory.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
-Extruder Run Parameters - Temperature setpoints, die gap, roll gap, material feed setup, etc. per the Membrane Run Sheet for the specific membrane being manufactured.
- Material Preparation - Ensuring the correct materials are staged for the membrane production run.
- Membrane Production – Start up and monitor extruder and product quality during production run.
- Membrane Testing – Using various pieces of equipment and testing apparatus, check membrane performance. This requires strict adherence to testing procedure(s).
- Membrane Expansion and Regeneration – this involves processing membrane to the final product. Includes placing material in baskets and placing it into hot tanks and regeneration tanks. This will involve working with chemicals and solutions at elevated temperatures. This requires strict adherence to testing and material handling procedures. ** Respirator or mask needed.
- Membrane Packaging – Membrane will need to be packaged and palletized according to Customer and Shipping requirements. Correct and accurate documentation is required.
Education and/or Experience Required:
-Able to read, write, and speak English with competence.
-Ability to follow instructions (written and oral)
-Must have basic math skills and use measuring tools.
-Computer knowledge, Microsoft Office is desirable.
-Able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.
-Employees may be required to wear a fitted respirator or chemical cartridge mask.
-Demonstrate mechanical and physical dexterity.
