At Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care, the supporting roles of our office teams go beyond paperwork and administrative tasks. All of our teams are integral parts of the compassionate care provided to our patients and their families. While our caregivers offer invaluable medical support, our contribution is to ensure every aspect of our patient's needs is heard and met.  Our relationships are built on trust, serving as the linchpin of communication among our interdisciplinary teams.

Medical Records Clerk Hospice Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Completion of 2 years of college in a related field preferred.
• Experience in Medical Records Department preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong computer knowledge and skills are necessary. 
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently; work well with others.
• Must exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to required clinical software and electronic clinical record utilization.
• Assists and consults with Bereavement Coordinator in preparation of bereavement file and other related bereavement issues.
• Receives all clinical admission forms, distributes copies to appropriate personnel and incorporates originals in the open chart.
• Maintains all medical records in the designated areas according to agency policies and procedures.
• Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to safely and personally operate a vehicle

Medical Records Clerk Hospice Schedule & Benefits:

• Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
