In this position you would be responsible for originating mortgage loans, obtaining and reviewing pipeline, and assisting credit unions with any originating needs

Qualifications Responsibilities : - Assumes responsibility for effective and professional completion of assigned loan origination functions. Interviews, takes applications, and processes preliminary documentation on loan requests.
- Discusses loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in a professional manner. Performs follow-up work as necessary to achieve conditional approval within established time frames. Advises members of loan approval or denial and counsels members whose loan requests were denied, explaining reasons and alternatives.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relations with members and credit unions. Answers questions, responds to requests, and resolves issues. Informs members of company loan policies and services. Counsels members regarding money management and financial matters.
- Coordinates functions with related departments and provides support as needed. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
- Keeps informed of current trends in mortgage lending and market factors affecting mortgage lending.
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:30am - 5pm Eastern Standard Time.
Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
- Must possess current NMLS license.
Qualifications: - Strong working knowledge of federal lending regulations, including: FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines.
- Understanding of the foundation of determining credit worthiness.
- Knowledge of loan policies, products, procedures, processing, and underwriting guidelines.
- Familiarity with title reports, insurance, and appraisals.
- Excellent communication and public relations abilities. Strong interviewing skills.
- Good analytical and financial skills.
- Ability to operate related computer applications.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is frequently required to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen, to use hand to finger, to speak in and listen carefully on the telephone.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a remote office setting.
