Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Nephrologist. Visa Sponsorship Available.

Job Description & Responsibilities

1. Join an established group of 5 Nephrologists, 2 Nurse Practitioners
2. 100% Nephrology Practice
3. 50% outpatient clinic and hospital responsibilities at Bassett Medical Center
4. 50% regional travel with focus on Oneonta and Cobleskill
5. Potential for Medical Directorship of Dialysis Unit
6. Call 11 weeks per year – Monday 8 AM – Monday 8 AM
7. 30-50 follow - up dialysis patients
8. 10-30 follow - up transplant patients 
9. Potential for faculty appointment from Columbia
10. Daily interaction with medical students as well as Internal Medicine and Transitional residents.
11. EMR-EPIC
12. Salary Range: $260,000 - $310,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good-faith belief in the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
13. Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000

Job Qualifications

1. MD, DO or MBBS
2. Board Eligible or Board Certified
3. New York State Licensure
4. BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification Required
5. DEA Required
