Under the general direction of the Section Manager, the incumbent serves as one of two Program Managers for the Personal Income Tax Manual Process (PIT MP) Collection Program in the Tax Account Resolution Section (TARS). Working through Administrator I’s, plan and direct the activities of collection teams at the Compliance Representative and Senior Compliance Representative levels. The collection team's activities include proactively resolving delinquent accounts by locating and contacting the delinquent taxpayer and/or locating assets and taking involuntary collection actions. The activities may also include responding to taxpayers and third parties that call or write in response to automated collection notices. The incumbent is responsible for budget planning, measuring program performance, and setting operational goals and objectives.
As part of the TARS Leadership Team, the incumbent is responsible for creating a positive and encouraging work environment for staff, promoting excellent customer service, identifying issues and trends, and making operational process improvement changes. The incumbent will represent the Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) Division on teams and special projects, as well as collaborate with their peers throughout the Division on issues and/or decisions that may impact on our program area(s).Additional positions may become available (eRPA 2425-00061)
