Express is partnerin with a Pelzer, SC based Machine Shop who is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Purchasing Agent to join our operations team. In this position, you’ll manage the procurement process from start to finish — securing competitive quotes, creating purchase orders, and ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Obtain and analyze multiple quotes from vendors to secure the best pricing and quality.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate better terms.
Review prints to confirm material requirements and collaborate with sales and operations teams.
Create and send purchase orders based on production needs.
Enter and manage procurement information accurately in our ERP system.
Maintain thorough documentation for all purchases and supplier communications.
Follow up on open orders and track delivery timelines.
Conduct market research to stay informed about pricing trends and sourcing strategies.
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in business or supply chain is a plus).
Previous purchasing or procurement experience preferred.
Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
