Job Description
Savage Development Inc is currently looking to add to our team for 24/7 construction site monitoring.
Positions starting as part-time with future potential for full-time positions, shifts are 12 hours (either 6:00 am - 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:00 am). Training, equipment, and CPR/AED/First-Aid certification provided; this is an unarmed position. Salary starting at $16/hr, paid sick time is offered for part-time hires, and competitive benefit/insurance package, and paid time off is offered full-time hires.
JOB DUTIES:
Personnel will be responsible for monitoring designated sites containing cables or live wires, which can cause threat to life. Personnel should be aware of hazards and risk presented by exposed cable and wire. Said personnel will be trained on security and safety protocols and are responsible for enforcing said practices and protocols for the well-being of themselves and any other individuals on the premises.
Personnel will remain at their post unless properly relieved, remain alert for site issues, unusual or suspicious activity, and violations of processes and procedures. As well as immediately reporting any incidents or emergencies to necessary contacts and emergency services, site monitors are required to have a personal cell phone in working order at all times while on post or on call.
The primary responsibility of personnel is to protect the public, and equipment, high voltage cables and points of connection located at switching cabinets, transformers, etc. from exposure and/or theft.
Additional responsibilities include:
Walking the wire hourly
Having view of both connected ends of live wires at all times from post.
Completing daily reports and entry/exit logs for each shift.
REQUIREMENTS:
Individual must be at least 21 years of age
Have a valid Arizona driver's license
Have a reliable, presentable vehicle that is registered and insured, and a working cell phone that you are able and willing to use for each shift
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to speak & understand English as it relates to the job
Flexible schedule with availability to work some overnights, weekends, holidays, and/or on call shifts
** PLEASE NOTE: JOB SITES CAN BE LOCATED ANYWHERE IN THE VALLEY. THIS IS A 24/7 PROGRAM SO SOME WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS WILL BE REQUIRED. HOURS MAY FLUCTUATE EACH WEEK AND WILL BE DEPENDENT ON THE NUMBER OF ACTIVE SITES BEING MONITORED. **
