Job Description The objective of this position is to assemble and sterilize all instruments, instrument trays, utensils, and linen packs. Perform distribution functions as it relates to case carts and sterile instrumentation. Essential Job Duties: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 1. Perform decontamination, inspection, and assembly of instruments and equipment per manufacturer and regulatory standards. 2. Operate sterilizers, washers, and perform high-level disinfection (HLD) with complete accuracy; conduct daily quality assurance checks. 3. Document all work and case cart builds in SPM instrument tracking software; maintain accurate inventory records. 4. Prepare and complete case carts using patient-specific pick lists; communicate missing items for timely resolution. 5. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure proper handling of loaner equipment and requisitions. 6. Perform scheduled and cyclic inventory of instruments and supplies to support OR readiness.
