Test Automation Engineer/SDET (Power BI)

Elite Technical is seeking an Automation Testing Engineer/SDET professional to support our customer, a premier Federal Healthcare Insurance Organization! This position is a hybrid opportunity (1x per week onsite) and requires a final Face to Face interview in Reston VA as the second round interview.

We are seeking SDET professionals with strong automation experience, utilizing Java Selenium, Playwright with strong SQL and ETL validation (preferable on MongoDB). Responsible for developing, modifing, and executing software test plans, test scenarios, defines and solves for test data needs, automated scripts, and programs for testing in order to ensure the outgoing software and technical products meet and exceed quality standards. Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their root causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software engineers and product owners. May participate in the review of software design.

- Bachelors Degree required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- 5+ years of experience within Automation Testing/SDET activities using core Java/Selenium/Playwright.
- ETL Validation / source to target experience from MongoDB
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective visual dashboard and able to design develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports ( Power BI reports)
- Hands on Knowledge of ITSM process within ServiceNow and experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems or applications.
- Proven experience to create, maintain and run complex database queries, specifically SQL (Critical)
- Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall software development life cycle (SDLC) models
- Accountable for analyzing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and Prepare In Sprint automated test scripts for API /Web/UI, Web Services testing
- Experience creating, modifying and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automated test scripts
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
