To learn more about our values and our culture, visit Vans Careers ( or ( . **What will you do?** As a member of Vans' Global Analytics & Consumer Insights department within the Global Strategy & Transformation function, the **Manager, Global Consumer Analytics** generates global insights that drive Vans' brand strategy with the goal of driving sustained growth in earned, profitable revenue. You will closely partner with global and regional teams that span consumer insights, marketing, merchandising, planning, finance, stores and eCommerce, and collaborate with data and analytics experts within Vans and VF's central functions to deliver robust, actionable insights. In this consultative role, you will ensure that insights are created with the consumer in mind, to inform data-driven decisions that enhance consumer acquisition, engagement, and retention of our consumer base, ultimately expanding consumer lifetime value (CLV). This role focuses on leveraging data & insights to fuel growth, combining deep analytical skills, strategic foresight, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. By identifying actionable insight and unlocking growth opportunities through the lens of consumer value, you will play a key role in shaping Vans' consumer-centric culture and growth agenda. You possess strong analytical and story-telling skills, a deep curiosity in consumer behavior, a solid understanding of retail business dynamics, and the ability to take part in digital and data upskilling to help the organization develop a data-informed approach to strategic business decisions. This role reports into the VP, Global Analytics & Consumer Insights and is located in Costa Mesa, CA. Since building effective relationships across various partners will be crucial for success, **this is a hybrid role with the expectation to spend at least three days in the office.** As the Global Consumer Analytics Manager, you'll be a key architect of Vans' data-driven transformation. Your insights will directly shape global strategies across product, marketing, retail and digital, helping Vans stay ahead in a rapidly evolving consumer landscape. Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. + Listen to and understand business partners' reporting and insights needs. + Partner with regional analytics teams to create standards for reporting/analyses to enable globally consistent tracking of business trends and facilitate the global amalgamation and translation of the regional data into global insights. + Conduct analyses by querying cloud-based data warehouses and other data sources, leveraging SQL and other analytics methods. + Develop and maintain dashboards and self-service tools to democratize access to key performance metrics across the organization. + Proactively generate forward-looking recommendations to unlock growth opportunities, presenting findings and actionable strategies to leadership teams. + Identify actionable insights, and recommend strategies to optimize consumer-driven value creation derived from translating and illuminating + revenue trends (e.g., sell-in/sell-out, key selling seasons, regional differences, ...) + consumer trends (e.g., acquisition/retention, CLV drivers, shopper journey, voice of the consumer, demographic/segment profiles, ...), + product/merchandising patterns (e.g., purchaser profiles, market basket analysis, product lifecycle, ...), + marketing analytics (e.g., interpretation of MMM, marketing ROI, social brand signals, search trends, ...) and + channel health (e.g., store & digital traffic, conversion, ...) + Partner with consumer insights and central analytics functions to understand and incorporate broader market trends into first-party-data-driven insights. + Present complex findings in a clear, compelling manner to non-technical business stakeholders. + Monitor and evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives using KPIs and post-implementation analysis to inform future planning. **What do you need to succeed?** We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. Eagerness to learn. + Practical experience in consumer analytics, business intelligence, with foundational understanding of marketing metrics & reporting, ideally within a consumer retail or digital marketplace environment. Financial acumen. + Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership. + Creative and collaborative approach to analytical problem-solving. + Strong technical and analytical skills; SQL skills required; experience with cloud-based data platforms; proficiency with data visualization tools (PowerBI). + Experience in retail, eCommerce, or consumer goods. + Self-starter, able to manage multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders. + Curiosity and commitment to embrace and leverage AI/ML tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
