Assistant Project Manager Job Description:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the project management team to facilitate the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for construction project management to grow within our organization.
Assistant Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development and management of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project goals are met.
* Coordinate project activities and maintain communication with all stakeholders.
* Review and understand project drawings, specifications, and contracts.
* Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
* Monitor construction progress and quality, conducting regular site visits.
* Track and document project changes, RFIs, and other relevant information.
* Support in the resolution of technical issues and challenges.
* Assist in the preparation of project status reports and presentations.
* Contribute to the overall success of the project team through proactive participation.
Assistant Project Manager Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Previous experience in a construction-related role, with exposure to project management.
* Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and project documentation.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
