Job Description

Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS - Full-Time)  at the Springtime School , Potential Inc.'s private school for learners with autism , develop and oversee behavior interventions for school students, supervise Registered Behavior Technicians, and support teachers with skill acquisition programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee behavior interventions for school students
  • Complete assessments including functional analysis
  • Write effective positive behavior support plans
  • Complete all behavior sections of the IEP
  • Design, manage and interpret data collections systems
  • Report on progress at least quarterly
  • Participate in quarterly home visits for parent training
  • Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians
  • Provide the required supervision according to the BACB for RBTs
  • Assist with in-service training development and implementation
  • Support the teachers and allied health professionals
  • Assist with problem solving skill acquisition programs
  • Provide research to support alternate teaching plans
  • Collaborate on new strategies using scientific methods

  • Trustworthiness, dependability, and demonstrated ethical behavior
  • Ability to utilize operating software such as Central Reach and SharePoint

 

Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree completed in Psychology, Special Education, or related field
  • PA Behavior Specialist License (LBS) required and must be maintained
  • Has working knowledge of current issues of importance to the autism spectrum disorder and special education communities
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder is required
  • Has demonstrated experience using and understanding assessment tools, VP-MAPP, ABLLS-R, Essentials for Living, or similar assessment tools and data collections systems
  • Supervisory/Management Experience
