Job Description

Overview: Delta World Tire is one of the area's largest independent tire dealers, with over 30,000 tires in stock. In addition to tires, Delta World Tire offers complete quality automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Our ASE certified technicians will be happy to help you on a wide range of services including alignments, brake repair, oil changes, batteries, shocks and struts, belts and hoses, and air conditioning. The Senior Automotive Technician ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. They are also responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Delta World Tire & Service standards. Compensation: Up to $35 flag rate Benefits: Competitive Bi-Weekly PayTuition ReimbursementPaid Vacation and Sick Time 6 Paid HolidaysMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance Life Insurance (Company paid)401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchDiscounted Services on Personal and Immediate Family VehiclesOpportunity for Advancement!!!Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracyPerforms complex and heavy-duty repairsExplains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customersRecommends services that are necessary to keep the customer's vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer fileFollows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisorAdheres to Sun Auto's core values, all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee HandbookAbility to work flexible schedules, Monday - SaturdayPrevious automotive technician / mechanic experience requiredASE certifications in lieu of experienceAbility to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnosticsValid Driver's license in the work State (out-of-state driver's licenses must be transferred to work state within 30 days of hire)High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred Working Conditions and Physical Demands: The Senior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.
